7 months...can you believe it?

Well I can't believe it, I am 7 months along (31 weeks) and still have a hard time comprehending where all the time has gone.  It is even scarier when people say, oh you only have 2 months left.  Today I had my 32week appointment (a little early) but my doctor is going to be out of town next week so we pushed it up a week.  Everything looks really good according to Dr. Liu and again a strong heartbeat and good position.  We have started a kick count card which tracks the amount of time it takes Baby Watts to kick 10 times.  So far, for the past 2 weeks she has been doing it in 10 minutes......what does this mean??  Very active baby.  Get it all out now Baby Watts!  Here is a another picture of me at 7 months.  I am still pretty little, I think it may be the angle...ha ha.

Spoiled Rotten.

This past Saturday was my first baby shower and I got spoiled rotten.  It was my family shower, hosted my sister Wendy, her best friend Natalie and my mom.  They put so much time and energy into making this shower perfect.  From the decor, food selection, games and the dessert, the whole afternoon was FABULOUS!
The shower was at my parent's house in Willow Glen.
The wonderful hostesses plus me.
I'm here!!  Let the party begin.
The decor looked so good.  Pink and brown with a European-esk background.
The favors: cute little bottles of bath salts with a special little message inside.
I loved the mommy wisdom tree which was branches from a japanese cherry blossom that had messages from the guests to mommy.  What a cute idea!

There was so much food we could have fed a family of 100.  All of the food was delicious and much of it was homemade.  My favorites were the Chinese Chicken Salad and the Sushi!
Wendy and Natalie made 3 different types of pink and brown cupcakes.  Chocolate with pink frosting, Pink Vanilla with chocolate frosting and Pumpkin with cream cheese frosting (a party favorite).
Showered with gifts. The Natalie's hanging out.
Some of the guests playing a game.  Look, I think I know the answer.

Happy 60th Grandma Bonner!

On Wednesday October 15th, we threw my mom a BIG surprise 60th Birthday aboard a yacht.  The entire event was absolutely awesome and mom was soooo surprised.  At first, she didn't even realize the party was for her.  The great idea was my dads, but Cam, Wendy and I pitched in as much as we could to make sure that everything was perfect for the evening.  The event took place on the Chardonnay Commodore Yacht and included around 40 of my mom and dad's dearest friends.  There were friends there from high school, college and even the surplus business.  The food was amazing, I especially enjoyed the salmon and boy did the guests tear up the dance floor.  I personally had a great time and was so excited that I did not get sick.  It was great to see my mom so happy and for us to be celebrating such a special event with those whom we love dearly.
SURPRISE! SURPRISE!
Here is picture of some of the guests who came to celebrate the monumental event of my mom turning 60.  She really doesn't even look 60 at all.....those Japanese women.

Here is a picture of Cam and I as we get ready to have dinner.  I was a little nervous because I gave a little speech that night and with no wine to simmer me down I didn't know how I would do.

Here is a picture of Wendy and Noodles.  I was so excited that Wendy was able to come all the way from New York mid-week for the event.  It actually worked out perfectly because not only were we able to celebrate mom's 60th with Wen, but also dad's 59th.
I think this was the part where I was giving my speech.  Other friends got up and said some very kind words about my mom.   It was so great to hear the stories of mom and dad in the days....though some were a little x-rated.
This was my favorite thing of the whole night.  The Guava cake my dad ordered from Aki's Bakery in San Jose.  The flavor was actually really good, but I loved the picture of my mom on there.  It was such a cute idea!

Beard be Gone.

So Cam had this idea that he thought would be really funny to grow out his beard until the day the baby was born.  He said, "wouldn't it be great if she was born on Christmas and I looked like Jesus?"  I on the other hand thought the idea was ridiculous and tried to convince Cam that the burnt red beard would just hide his cute face.  For months and months we battled about the beard and finally judgement day came. Thank goodness for his job, Cam was forced to shave it off.

It's been a while...

Hi Everyone!  A lot has happened since the last time I blogged.  I have to admit as I continue to grow, the blog gets harder and harder to update.....but keep coming back to visit, I promise to keep it going as long as I can.

So since the last time Cam and I have attended a couple of classes that have been interesting as well as informative.  The first class we took was our breast-feeding class (yes, I dragged to Cam to that class).  The class provided a ton of information that I was not really aware of expressed the importance of breast feeding.  Cam and I especially loved the 80's video they showed...I mean come on can we get something a little more updated.  The second class that Cam and I have started attending is our Child Birthing class.  This class is a series of four classes on Monday nights from 7:00-9:30.....I know guys don't say it, right in the middle of Monday night football. Cam and I attended our first class last week and actually really enjoyed it.  I must admit though I got a little freaked out about the whole labor part of this process.  I hadn't really thought of it much until this point, but what am I going to do about it now....just suck it up!
